Planned Growth Mission Program 2006

Our Planned Growth mission for this year has been a great success. The activities culminated in a Thanksgiving Dinner, held at St Thomas Church Hall in Camp Hill on 10th November and a Thanksgiving Service held at Camp Hill on 12th November.

The Planned Growth Mission is an opportunity for all parishioners, both those regularly attending services at either of our two parish centres, or those who are faithful associates of the parish to consider their response to the work of the church in our local community. The program highlighted our revised vision and mission for the church and sought support and participation from the community to achieve this.

Overall we were successful in meeting the target increases in giving and wish to express our thanks for your support. With these commitments, the parish can continue to grow and establish itself as a relevant and meaningful participant in the community today.

Here are a few pictures of the activities that occured:

A wonderful and inspiring talk was provided by Judy Casillo who represented a young person who has grown up in the parish

One of our Churchwardens, Damien and the Treasurer, Lyndal spoke passionately about the need to properly resource the parish for its vision and mission.

Fr Martyn Hope then confirmed the direction of the parish and encouraged all to consider their response to this call.

At the Thanksgiving Service parishioners pledged their support to the growth and mission of the church, by placing a pledge envelope in the basket and lighting a candle in honour of their support.
