Eastern Hills Anglicans

Marketing & Fundraising Team

This team is dedicated to finding fun and exciting ways of announcing our presence to the wider community through activities that strengthen our financial position.

Traditionally, churches have cake stalls, garage sales and other events to raise funds, this team is tasked with 'thinking outside the square' in developing new ways of engaging with the community. We believe that through the experience of the friendly people, great facilities and casual events, people will be motivated to support the parish in ways that meet their individual circumstances.

Some of the events held to date and in the planning stage are:

Wine Nights - where good food, good friends and good wine met in superb surroundings in the Church cleared of pews. After a suitable period for imbibing, guests were invited onto the balcony for supper and coffee overlooking the Brisbane skyline at night.

Advent Carols - join with the Parish in celebrating Christmas in a traditional manner at Norman Park. Bring your best singing voice as we celebrate the season through songs, supper, wine and coffee with your fellow community.

Christmas Catalog - available now are Christmas Cards, gifts and hampers themed for the season. Contact Janelle or Robyn using the Contact Us link below to order. Remember to get in early!

Christmas Lights - come and view the Norman Park Church lit up on the hill for Christmas. Enjoy a light supper and wine in a friendly and unpressured environment and relax in the cool breezes after a hot summers day.

Norman Park Heritage Fair - 14th July 2007 at the Norman Park Centre. Bring the kids along with your wallet to partake in a local fair that celebrates those items you can't bear to part with but others must have, all at rock bottom prices. Enjoy the jumping castle, Animal Farm and other displays, whilst getting to know your local community.

Parents Retreat - come with your babies and toddlers to Norman Park hall to enjoy the company of others and relax in our community centre overlooking the city.
